Overview
Postbacks are a fundamental component of conversion tracking in digital marketing, enabling server-to-server communication between the advertiser and the tracking platform. Upon a successful conversion, a postback URL is triggered to pass critical parameters and event data.
Key values such as txn_id and sale_amount must be properly extracted and mapped from the postback URL to maintain data integrity. This ensures accurate attribution, consistent reporting, precise payout calculations, and data-driven campaign optimization.
Use Case:
Capture each transaction uniquely through the transaction ID
Log the correct sale or revenue amount associated with each conversion
Prevent data loss or mismatches due to misconfigured parameters
