While making a campaign live, we need to keep in mind many things to achieve the desired output. No matter how careful we are, we still sometimes encounter errors.

Common Tracking Link Issues and Solutions

Below are the most common issues and errors with tracking link and the solutions to such issues.

PUBLISHER_NOT_ACTIVE

Reason: The publisher you have added to the campaign is not active.


Solution: Navigate to the "Publishers" icon in the side menu. Select the "Manage" option, then adjust the status of the publisher from "Pending" to "Active."

INVALID_PUBLISHER_ID:

Reason: The publisher has changed the publisher ID in the tracking link.


Solution: First, navigate to the campaign and create the tracking link for the publisher. Next, verify that the tracking link contains the correct publisher ID, and then request that the publisher use the same "publisher ID" in the tracking link.

INVALID_OFFER_ID:

Reason: The publisher has changed the offer ID in the tracking link.


Solution: To start, access the campaign and create a tracking link for the publisher. Validate the offer ID provided in the tracking link, and kindly ask the publisher to use the same "offer ID" in the tracking link.

OFFER_NOT_ACTIVE:

Reason: The campaign is either paused or disabled.


Solution: First, access the campaign and then select the edit option. From there, change the status of the campaign to "Active."

INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSION:

Reason: Publisher does not have permission to run the campaign


Solution: First, navigate to the campaign. Then, proceed to the publisher access section. From there, choose the specific publisher you wish to include in the campaign. Finally, save the changes made.

Note: The publisher access section will only be visible when the campaign is private.

LP_PAUSED_OR_TARGETING:

Reason: There can be multiple reasons for this error-

1. The landing page and targeting are mismatched.

2. The landing page is inactive.

3. The landing page ID is invalid

Solution:

1. Check the targeting settings to find the landing page mismatch.

2. Check if the landing page is active or not.


LINK_DISABLED OR CAP_REACHED:

Reason: The campaign has reached the limit of the "CAP."


Solution: First, navigate to the campaign. Next, select the "Settings" option. Then, click on the "Cap" option. From there, you can either change the limit of the cap or delete it entirely.

ADV_INACTIVE:

Reason: The advertiser you have added to the campaign is not active.


Solution: In order to change the status of an advertiser from "Pending" to "Active," please navigate to the "Advertiser" icon in the side menu and choose the "Manage" option. Update the status to active and click save.

PUB_BLOCKED_ON_ADV OR PUB_BLOCKED_ON_CAMP:

Reason: The publisher is blocked by the respective advertiser.


Solution: Please navigate to the "Advertiser" section, then select the "Manage" option. From there, access the specific advertiser you are targeting and proceed to select "Settings" Finally, unblock the publisher from the designated settings menu.

ADV_NOT_WHITELISTED_ON_PUB:

Reason: Advertiser is not being whitelisted by the publisher


Solution: Please navigate to the "Publisher" section and select "Manage" option. From there, find the appropriate publisher and click on "Settings.". Then, select the option to allow the advertiser for that publisher.

TARGETING_FAILED:

Reason: There is some issue with the targeting rules added to the campaign.


Solution: Please navigate to the campaign and select the "Targeting" option. From there, you can view the current targeting rules or choose to delete the targeting rule.

AD_NOT_ACTIVE_IN_THIS_HOUR:

Reason: The advertiser is not active in a particular hour.


Solution: Ask the advertiser to change their settings.

PUB_BLOCKED_ON_CAMP:

Reason: The campaign has reached the limit of the "CAP."


Solution: To unblock a publisher, first access the campaign's "Settings" option, then click "Block Publisher" and remove the publisher from the blocked list.
