Overview

Trackier is committed to ensuring the protection of data subject rights by law or GDPR, with specific guidelines on how to respect and fulfil user rights and privacy. This article explains how Trackier servers receive and process user information associated with a customer website and the privacy policies to secure their visitor data.

The Trackier Guide: Handling Customer Website Data Securely explains how Trackier securely processes website visitor data while maintaining privacy, accurate tracking, and compliance with modern data protection standards.

Trackier is designed to help businesses run affiliate and performance marketing campaigns without requiring access to the customer’s backend systems or databases. Instead, the platform works only through front-end tracking methods such as:

  • Image Pixels

  • iFrame Pixels

  • WebSDK

This helps maintain secure and privacy-focused campaign tracking.

Why Secure Data Handling is Important

Performance marketing platforms process large amounts of:

  • Visitor activity

  • Conversion data

  • Tracking information

  • Campaign analytics

Without proper security controls, businesses may face:

  • Privacy risks

  • Unauthorized access

  • Compliance concerns

  • Reporting vulnerabilities

Trackier helps clients:

  • Protect customer data

  • Maintain secure attribution

  • Improve privacy compliance

  • Reduce operational risk

HOW TRACKIER WORKS ON DATA SECURITY:

Trackier service starts working after the customer adds the Trackier JavaScript/Image/Iframe tracking code between the head tags of the website code.

When any visitor lands on a page where a Trackier Campaign is running, the JavaScript code snippet fetches the appropriate configuration from the Content Delivery Network (CDN). Trackier only interfaces with the front-end of the customer’s website and does not require any access to their backend system and database.

Trackier Guide: Handling Customer Website Data Securely

All customer data on Trackier servers is stored safely by using the AES 256-bit encryption, with stringent access control policies. Trackier does not access customer data, and all information collected by the customer is subject to their privacy policies.

Through strategically distributed CDN servers across 3 locations across America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions, Trackier implements a highly scalable and fault-tolerant system. Our services are hosted on GCP and AWS systems with EU-US Privacy Shield Certification that requires stringent security and access control policies.

GDPR COMPILANCE

Trackier stores customer information until the Trackier account is active, and all data for expired accounts is deleted within 45 to 90 days after the date of expiry. For accounts which expired before the GDPR date (May 25, 2018), we are in the process of deleting the records. To delete data for a specific account, you can email us at support@trackier.com.
