AppMetrica Integration Guide with Trackier

Introduction to AppMetrica

AppMetrica is a mobile measurement partner (MMP) and analytics platform that helps businesses track, analyze, and optimize mobile app performance. It provides detailed insights into app installs, user behavior, in-app events, retention metrics, revenue tracking, fraud detection, and marketing campaign performance.

Why Integrate AppMetrica with Trackier?

Trackier is a performance marketing platform that manages publishers, campaigns, traffic distribution, and conversion tracking. When integrated with AppMetrica, both platforms work together to provide complete visibility into mobile campaign performance.

The integration enables:

  • Accurate install attribution from Trackier traffic

  • Real-time install and in-app event reporting in Trackier

  • Proper mapping of clicks to conversions using click_id

  • Centralized reporting across publishers

  • Reliable payout and revenue calculation

  • Better optimization decisions based on verified app data

Integration Overview

To complete the integration, two main configurations are required:

  1. Generate the AppMetrica tracking link and place it inside the Trackier campaign.

  2. Add Trackier’s postback URL inside AppMetrica.

Both URLs are required to ensure data flows correctly between systems.

Where to Find AppMetrica in Trackier

Log in to your Trackier panel and navigate to:

Automation > Integration > MMP Partner > AppMetrica

On this page, you will find:

  • Global Install Postback URL

  • Global Event Postback URL

  • Trackier Macro List

These postback URLs must be copied and added inside AppMetrica. They allow AppMetrica to send install and in-app event data back to Trackier.

Step 1: Create a Tracker in AppMetrica

Log in to your AppMetrica account and go to:

Tracking → Create Tracker

You will need to configure the following fields:

Tracker Name: Enter a name for easy identification (for example: “Trackier_CPI_Android”).

Application: Select the mobile app for which you are running campaigns.

Media Source: Select or create a new media source for Trackier. This ensures installs are attributed correctly.

Pre-installing: Enable only if you are running pre-install campaigns.

Remarketing: Enable if you are running re-engagement or remarketing campaigns.

Anti-fraud: Optional setting to enable fraud detection using FraudScore.

After saving the tracker, AppMetrica will generate a tracking URL.

How the Tracking Link Works

The generated tracking link behaves as follows:

If the app is already installed on the user’s device, the link opens the app directly.

If the app is not installed, the user is redirected to the appropriate app store (Google Play or App Store).

This tracking URL must be added to the destination URL field inside your Trackier campaign

Step 2. Configure a SmartLink

A SmartLink is a universal tracking URL that automatically changes the destination URL and deeplink depending on the app store.

Available fields:

  • App store: Google Play, App Store (iOS), GetApps, AppGallery, Windows Phone Store, or Fallback. The destination URL will lead to the selected app store.

Step 3. Configure the app redirect

  1. Android: Add a deeplink to your smartlink. This allows the app to open directly after installation.

  2. iOS 12.3+: Deeplinks are no longer supported in regular tracking URLs. To ensure the link opens the app, follow the instructions to enable Universal Links support.

Once you've completed the instructions, the tracker will generate an app-to-app tracking URL that you can use for both platforms.

Step 4. Configure postbacks

Postbacks are usually necessary when running CPI/CPA campaigns. You can add up to 5 postbacks per tracker.

Postback Destination: This is the partner who will receive the postback. If you want to track your own statistics, you can send the postback to your own server by adding a media source.

Event: This is the event that triggers the postback to be sent to the media source.

Event types include:

  • Install Postback: Sends the postback after an attributed install.

  • Event Postback: Sends the postback after an attributed conversion.

  • E-commerce Postback: Sends postback for e-commerce events.

  • Purchase Postback: Sends postback for in-app revenue events.

  • Ad Revenue Postback: Sends postback for ad revenue events.

Postback URL: This is the link where the postback will be sent.

Re-engagement Window: This is the maximum time allowed between the install and the target event. If the target event happens after this time, the postback won't be sent to the media source.

Send Postback on Actions of All Users: The postback will be sent for every user's target event, no matter where the user installed the app from.

Note

If you select this option, the attribution source for sending the postback will be ignored. The partner will receive events from all sources, but without any attribution details.

To send both attributed and unattributed postbacks, create two separate postbacks: one with this option enabled and the other with it disabled.

Step 6. Save changes and test the tracker

  1. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page. The list of all saved trackers is in the Trackers section. You can edit and archive them. The statistics from archived trackers remain available in reports.

  2. Test the tracker before launching an advertising campaign

Postback URLs for Install and In-app events

  • You can go to the Automation section, click on Integrations, and navigate to mobile app tracking. You will be redirected to the mobile app tracking page. Navigate to Appmetrica and click on Setup Instructions.

  • You will be able to find your global install and global event postback, which you can further share with the branch.
