Whitelist Advertiser Server IP for Secure Tracking

This article guides you on how you can add Advertiser Server IP to protect yourself from fraud and ensure secure, trusted, reliable campaign tracking.

Overview

The Whitelist IPs feature in Trackier adds an extra layer of security to your campaigns by allowing conversions only from trusted IP addresses. This helps prevent unauthorised or fraudulent conversion tracking requests from unverified sources.

In addition, publishers should whitelist Trackier’s conversion server IPs on their systems to ensure smooth postback delivery and avoid tracking interruptions.

Once whitelist IPs are configured, conversions coming from any IP address outside the approved list will be automatically rejected.

Why Use Advertiser IP Whitelisting?

IP whitelisting helps secure your tracking setup and ensures that conversions are accepted only from trusted advertiser servers.

Common Use Cases

  • Prevent fake or unauthorized conversions

  • Secure advertiser postback integrations

  • Restrict conversion tracking to approved servers only

  • Improve tracking accuracy and fraud prevention

  • Ensure reliable postback communication between systems

Example:
If an advertiser sends conversions only from specific servers, you can whitelist those IPs to automatically block all other unknown requests.

Add Whitelist IPs

  • Open the desired advertiser account.

  • Click on Edit in the settings card.

Troubleshooting Postback Issues

If postbacks are not being received properly, you can verify the source using postback logs.

Steps to Verify Postbacks

  1. Navigate to the Advertiser section

  2. Open Postback Hits Received

  3. Select the required global postback

  4. Choose:

    • Campaign ID

    • Date range

  5. Click Search

You will be able to view:

  • Received postbacks

  • Source details

  • User agents

The Whitelist IPs feature in Trackier ensures that only conversions from trusted sources are accepted, providing an additional safeguard against fraudulent activity. By configuring IPs at the advertiser level, you gain more control and security over campaign tracking, ultimately improving accuracy and protecting revenue.

Best Practices

  • Always verify advertiser IPs before adding them

  • Keep your whitelist updated if advertiser servers change

  • Test postbacks after enabling IP restrictions

  • Whitelist Trackier server IPs on publisher systems

  • Monitor postback logs regularly for failures

  • Use IP ranges carefully to avoid unintended traffic blocking
