Overview
Payout Tiers allow you to group publishers into distinct tiers each with its own payout structure giving you a flexible, scalable way to manage publisher compensation based on performance or relationship level.
This article covers how to create, configure, and manage payout tiers in Trackier.
Note: This feature has been deprecated and is available only to clients onboarded on or before January 1, 2023.
With This feature, you can subdivide and customize different tiers for Publishers' payout.
What Are Payout Tiers?
A Payout Tier is a named group that publishers can be assigned to, where each tier carries its own payout rate or structure. Instead of setting individual payouts for every publisher, you define a tier once and assign publishers to it — making it easier to manage large publisher bases with differentiated payout levels.
Example use cases:
A Gold Tier for high-performing publishers with a higher payout rate
A Standard Tier for new or mid-level publishers with a base payout rate
A VIP Tier for exclusive publisher partnerships with custom negotiated rates
How to get to the payout tier?
The payout tier can be added from the Manage option under the Publishers section on the left panel.
Please go to the Action menu at the top; you will see the Payout Tiers option.
You will be on the publisher's page of payout tiers. Now hit the Action Button, and you will be allowed to add a new tier by clicking on it.
Create a new payout tier and add a relevant name. Hit the Create button once you are done. Also, you can select the active status of the specific payout tier.
On the panel, you can see the status of the payout, the created date, and the option to edit or set any particular tier as the default. You can further view what publishers are assigned to that payout
Conclusion
While the Payout Tiers feature has been deprecated for clients onboarded after January 1, 2023, it remains a useful tool for existing users who rely on it to manage publisher compensation at scale. If you are on a newer Trackier plan, the same outcome can be achieved through Publisher-Specific Payouts and Scaling Payout rules, which offer more granular control over payout structures.
