Trackier's Guide: Publisher Access Issues Explained

This guide helps you assign private campaigns to a particular publisher in Trackier, ensuring the right access and smooth tracking of campaign results.

Campaign Visibility Types

Trackier allows you to control who can view and access a campaign. This helps ensure that campaigns are shared only with the relevant publishers.

There are three campaign visibility options available:

Public

If the campaign type is set to Public, the campaign will be visible to all publishers on your panel.

Any publisher can view the campaign details and generate the tracking link without requiring any approval.

Private

If the campaign type is set to Private, the campaign will only be visible to the publishers who have specifically been assigned access.

Any publisher who has not been assigned will not be able to see the campaign in their panel.

Ask for Permission

If the campaign type is set to Ask for Permission, the campaign will be visible to publishers, but they will need to request access before they can generate a tracking link or start promoting the campaign.

You can then review and approve or reject the publisher’s request.

Why Might a Campaign Not Be Visible to a Publisher?

If a publisher is unable to view a campaign, the first thing to check is the campaign visibility type and whether the publisher has been granted access.

To verify this:

  1. Open the campaign

  2. Check the Campaign Type

  3. Verify whether the publisher has been assigned access

If the Campaign Type is Private

For private campaigns, only the publishers who have been manually assigned will be able to view the campaign.

If the publisher is not assigned, the campaign will not appear in their panel.

If the Campaign Type is Ask for Permission

For campaigns using the “Ask for Permission” option, the publisher must first submit a request to access the campaign.

The campaign will only become visible to the publisher after the request has been approved.

What Happens if You Generate a Tracking Link for an Unassigned Publisher?

Even if a publisher has not yet been assigned access to a campaign, you can still generate a tracking link manually and share it with them.

When the publisher clicks on this tracking link:

  • The campaign is automatically assigned to that publisher

  • The publisher gains access to the campaign

  • The campaign will start appearing in the publisher’s Manage Campaigns section

This can be useful if you want to quickly grant access to a publisher without manually assigning them from the campaign settings.
