At a Glance: We've introduced a feature that lets each AFM generate a unique signup URL, automatically assigning new publishers to the AFM who shared the link.
Overview
Previously, the system offered only a single, generic affiliate signup form, which made it difficult to track which Affiliate Manager (AFM) referred or onboarded each new publisher.
To improve transparency and streamline the onboarding process, we've introduced a new feature that allows each Affiliate Manager (AFM) to generate a unique signup URL.
Any publisher who registers through this link will be automatically assigned to that AFM—removing the need for manual assignment and helping organizations easily track which AFMs are driving new publisher registrations.
How It Works:
When a new publisher registers through this URL, the system performs the following actions:
Captures the AFM ID from the URL parameter.
Automatically assigns the new affiliate to the respective AFM.
Logs this action in the affiliate’s timeline for auditing and tracking purposes.
A new parameter containing the AFM ID is automatically appended to the affiliate signup URL, but only when the link is generated by a user with the AFM role or a sub-admin who also has the AFM permissions.
Exception:
If the signup URL is generated by an admin or any other user role that does not include AFM permissions, the AFM ID parameter will not be added, and as a result, no auto-assignment will take place.
Example URL:
https://yourdomain.com/signup?afm_id=1234
In this example, any affiliate signing up via this link will be auto-assigned to AFM ID 1234.
NOTE:
If a sub-admin has been assigned both Sub-Admin and AFM roles, this logic will apply when they generate signup links.
The existing "Auto Assign Affiliate Manager" setting under Customize > Settings will still be available, but will have lower priority than this new URL-based assignment logic.
